A Perfect World

ACAPELLA
No more guns and violence
No more people oppressed
Love is the only answer
To calm the anger and unrest

In a perfect world we would love our children
Protecting them from violence and neglect
We would teach them to love each other
To grow up showing kindness and respect

In a perfect world no one would go hungry
Taking only what we needed from the land
There would be no need for money
Diamonds would be pebbles in the sand?

In a perfect world we would chart a new course
In a perfect world we would change our ways
In a perfect world we would find the answer
To help each other make a better day

In a perfect world we would break the silence
Standing up for those who live in fear
We would end the cycle of violence
Protecting the rights that we hold dear

In a perfect world there would be no killing
We’d have respect for every living thing
There would be no war between nations
We’d have peace and the joy that it brings

In a perfect world we would chart a new course
In a perfect world we would change our ways
In a perfect world we would find the answer
To help each other make a better day
